Eating brings people together. It is an act that is depolarizing, empathic and equitable. Everyone has a story to tell about food, whether it’s the most scariest thing they’ve eaten before or their first memory of eating something they loved. These stories have a powerful way of connecting people as well as creating solidarity amongst communities for the future. The Blank Plate workshop at the Just Food Conference will be an interactive activity where participants will learn about the Blank Plate Program and will have the opportunity to experience a glimpse of one of the hands-on design-led activities that the program offers.
