Date: Sun, March 25
Time: 3:20 PM - 4:35 PM

In 2013, LISC NYC launched Communities for Healthy Food NYC together with four community-based organizations in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Harlem. In the subsequent five years, the programs have expanded and evolved their efforts to integrate food justice into community development organizations. This workshop will feature the debut of the Communities for Healthy Food Toolkit, a practical and in-depth guide to implementing comprehensive community-based food justice programs. Two organizations will discuss their participation in Communities for Healthy Food. A discussion will center on strategy and best practices that can be applied to other communities.
