People's Agroecology: Reflections from Cuba

This workshop will be a report-back and discussion of the recent International Encounter on Agroecology, Sustainable Agriculture, and Cooperativism, which took place in the fall of 2017 in Cuba. Following a brief overview of the concepts of agroecology—as they have been articulated by global social movements for food sovereignty—participants will hear reflections from US delegates on their experiences in Cuba and what lessons we may draw for our contexts, projects, and movements.
