As evidence that cared for caregivers better overcome emotional exhaustion and work-associated fatigue continues to mount, food justice and community nutrition practitioners may benefit from adopting practices that help them feel replenished. A mindfulness practice plus a reciprocal relationship with the community that one serves is a fine starting place. Feeling fueled is critical to perseverance. Through meditation one can reduce stress readying the mind for wisdom and inspiration. In this workshop we give you hands on mindfulness tools plus our experience learning about perseverance from the criminally justice involved people with whom we work.
