The Thanksgiving Address is a greeting and acknowledgment to the natural world. It is an expression of thanks for all the gifts that creation has provided, including our mother the earth which supports our feet to our grandmother the moon. It is spoken at the beginning and end of a meeting as a reminder to uphold our responsibilities to creation. The Thanksgiving Address will be offered by Alex Jimerson. Alex is Haudenosaunee, belonging to the Wolf clan of the Seneca Nation.
