For the past twenty-five years, Alison has worked with grassroots-led organizations in rural and urban farming communities in the United States and throughout the world. Since 2009, she has been stewarding WhyHunger’s programmatic strategies which center on providing support to grassroots organizations in the U.S. and social movements globally. Previously, Alison worked with Heifer International organizing and accompanying farming communities to build and advocate for sustainable food systems. Alison's studies in undergraduate and grad school focused on English literature, French, gender, farming systems and popular education.
