Alison’s first encounter with Just Food was while in the Crown Heights Farm Share where she was a core group volunteer for 7 years. She joined Just Food staff in 2016 first as Program Manager for the Farm to Pantry program and in 2017 became the Community Food Education + Trainings Manager. Alison co-leads Just Food's Training of Trainers and Community Chef trainings where she "pass(es) on the gift" of practical advocacy tools to fellow impassioned activists, educators and community members. Alison is also a committed and grateful yoga practitioner and teacher. She believes that social justice and yoga are inextricably linked and that yoga has the power to heal ourselves and our communities. Alison is a warm weather baby and loves being outside, preferably on her bike. Alison is a Certified Holistic Health Coach and holds a Masters in Public Health, Nutrition from CUNY School of Public Health.
