Eileen Z. Fuentes was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. Since then she has been an advocate for women with breast cancer, with a focus on the most vulnerable patients. Eileen founded and led the first-ever bilingual wellness program in collaboration with the Columbia University Medical Center’s Cancer Center at where she works full-time as a patient navigator. She has presented at TEDMED Live, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, The Ralph Lauren Cancer Center. Her op-ed on Trump’s healthcare bill was published in the NY Daily News. Latina magazine, Human Resources Magazine (SHRM), and The NY Post, have highlighted her advocacy work. She was selected as Lincoln Motor Vehicle’s “Damas de Lincoln” for her community work and was the recipient of the “Soy Poderosa” award at the 6th Annual Latina Empowerment Conference.
