My name is Fadhylla Saballos (pronounced Fa-thee-lah). I graduated with Bachelors in Health and Nutrition Sciences from Brooklyn College and have since worked in various community nutrition education programs, including the Stellar Farmers’ Market, where I developed a passion for food justice. I have a lot of experience in the community nutrition setting and have completed the Just Food Community Chef training in 2016. I am currently a dietetic intern at Hunter College and also pursuing an MPH in nutrition which I plan to use to develop nutrition programs that emphasize the importance of food justice and food sovereignty, which I believe needs to be more of a priority. In my spare time, I help coordinate the new Latinx Nutrition Professionals network; I participate in community organizing in my neighborhood, enjoy cooking and visiting my friends' farms outside the city.
